Charlie Wilshire - Balancing Craft and Youth Development

For more than 30 years, Charlie Wilshire has balanced two fulfilling careers: one in construction and craftsmanship, and another in education and youth leadership. As the owner and operator of The Merry Craftsmen, he has led countless home remodeling projects throughout the state, specializing in thoughtful, high-quality renovations from the coast to the mountains. Charlie Wilshire launched The Merry Craftsmen in 1994, combining creative problem-solving with technical expertise to design and complete a diverse range of construction projects.

His work includes full home builds, kitchen and bath remodels, outdoor improvements, and distinctive stone and mosaic features. Alongside his construction work, he co-owns C and J Campus Rentals, a small property management business serving the Eugene community.

Charlie Wilshire’s career as a teacher and coach has shaped students and athletes through mentorship, literacy development, and outdoor leadership. He played a foundational role in developing the high school Nordic skiing program in Eugene and Springfield, serving for years as a coach and administrator.
